Tour D'Gippsland 25 & 26 June 2016

7 CV8s, 3 HQ’s, 1 HJ, 1 HG and a Statesman pretending to be a Monaro started on the Tour d’Gippsland.  We took in points of interest including the Victorian Desalination Plant, Wonthaggi, the scenic drive along the Bunurong Coastal Park to Inverloch and lunch at the R.A.C.V Resort.

Around 29 people, including some potential new members enjoyed a relaxed break in very attractive surroundings. We travelled on to Fish Creek where coffee, cake and some interesting art/craft shops were to be found. Saturday night was spent in Foster where we dined at the Golf Club Bistro On Sunday we visited the local Historical Society Museum before driving to Tidal River in Wilson’s Promontory National Park.

Along the way we were able to appreciate the amazing views out to sea and to see emus, kangaroos and wombats. The trip home included a farewell stop in Koonwarra before we all went our separate ways.

Thank you to everyone who braved the cold and wet weather and we hope you enjoyed this snapshot of another interesting and attractive part of Gippsland.
