Accommodation and Local Attractions

Accommodation is plentiful & varied in the surrounds of Warragul and Lardner Park providing entrants and their families with options to suit their individual needs.  You can download a list of area accommodation here.

On-site Camping and Glamping at Lardner Park

On-site camping at Lardner Park will be available exclusively for entrants and their families for the duration of the 2020 Nationals.  This will be a camping experience with a difference - set in the picturesque grounds of Lardner Park with great facilities and security for you and your Monaro(s).  All of this can be enjoyed whilst surrounded by fellow Monaro enthusiasts and just a five minute drive from the Warragul city centre. 

One camping site is $50 per night per full entrant, minimum 4 nights and an additional $15 for buddy pass holders, also minimum 4 nights staying with the entrant.  Secure, undercover parking is included for the Entrant's full entry Monaro.

The availability of Glamping is subject to reaching a minimum number of 10 site bookings.  Glamping is offered on a minimum 4 night basis.  Charges for 1 to 2 people start around $550 for 4 nights.  

If you are interested in Camping or Glamping, please register your interest here so we can get an idea of numbers.  We will then contact all those who register to progress to a firm booking.

With a modern Arts Centre attracting acts from all over Australia, and studios and art galleries scattered around the region Baw Baw is an art lover’s paradise.

Yarragon Village and Surrounds are nestled at the foothills of the Strzelecki Ranges surrounded by rolling green hills, that showcase some of the region’s best produce and highlight some of the paddock to plate experiences you can indulge in. Yarragon Village is home to unique and incredible vintage markets, speciality antique stores, fashion boutiques and a range of stores that create an art lovers haven. Once you have indulged in some retail therapy enjoy the local cafes’, lolly shop and explore the outstanding wineries, that surround the village.

Around the next corner, Walhalla and Mountain Rivers awaits, take a step back in time and experience life as it was in historic Walhalla. This unique mountain outpost offers visitors an opportunity to experience gold-era surroundings and atmosphere. Learn about the tough lives of miners, pan for gold at Stringers Creek and explore the towns old hotels, church, shops, and schools. Surrounding Walhalla, adventure waits, an area famous for its camping, mountain biking, bushwalking, motorbike riding and four-wheel driving, it is an outdoor lovers’ paradise.

Noojee and Surrounds are the perfect place to leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind. The areas boasts a rich heritage and unique natural attractions to delight and inspire, home to the majestic Noojee Trestle Bridge, the tallest surviving wooden trestle bridge in Victoria and the breathtaking, tiered waterfall, Toorongo Falls is unparalleled in its beauty and will ignite and delight all your senses.
