Holden Lang Lang Proving Ground

This is a unique opportunity to visit this world class testing facility.  Since the 877ha Proving Ground was opened in 1957, Holden test drivers and engineers have clocked up more than 120 million kilometres, evaluating prototype, pre-production and current production vehicles on its diverse road network that includes the banked 4.7km high-speed circular track, ride and handling roads, rough tracks and others including the ‘Hill Route’, a twist course, a ‘rattle and squeak’ track, Skid Pad and mud and water baths.

In 2018 the Proving Ground underwent its most significant upgrade in its history with $15.9M spent on refurbishing road surfaces and improving testing facilities.

Because of the anticipated large number of participants, ONLY 1 Monaro per full Entrant pass (not buddy pass) can be entered on the day.

We have arranged this visit with Holden and are planning to give you the opportunity to drive your Monaro and have it photographed on the Holden Proving ground.

Proposed activities on the day are;

  • Groups Photos on the Skid Pad

  • Controlled lap of Ride and Handing track
  • Controlled lap of Circular track

Entry is subject to Holden’s conditions as this is a secure facility not open to the general public, some of these conditions include;

  • All guests must complete the Release and Indemnity and Confidentiality Covenant.
  • No Photography by entrants, every imaging device (Camera’s Smart Phones Dashcams) will need to be surrendered at the security gate on entry.  Designated Photographers will take photos on the day.
  • Vehicles being brought in will need to be roadworthy and registered for use on public roads. We cannot trailer vehicles into the facility.
  • Driver’s license requirements are minimum P-plate to drive on Proving Ground roads.
  • Children under 12 are not permitted to enter the facility

There will be alternative events organised for that day for those who can’t or do not want to attend the Proving Ground.

Event details are subject to change.

To participate in this event you must register, complete and return the GMH Release and Indemnity and Confidentiality Covenant by 31st August 2020. Click here to download the form.  Return form via email to 2020nationals@monaroclubvic.com.au
